Snow Day = Time to Break The Cycle
The NY Times article sends the powerful message to do the one thing that you have been putting off.  The snowday is a gift to do just that.  Of course, you may think I am encouraging you to do your taxes or rearrange your closet but with my motto to "maximize your health potential", my thoughts are leaning toward food or exercise.  Today is a perfect day to make a soup that will warm you now but last the rest of the week.   Or you can choose an ingredient in your kitchen and try out a new recipe.  I did that recently with the Indiian spice garam masala.  A delicious chick pea and greens salad was created with a very different but delicious flavor profile.  Or you may finally take out that yoga mat and stretch.  Just stretch!  You may be dedicated to your fitness routine but as we age, our bodies lose flexibility.  Stretching regularly seems like an indulgence but it will improve your fitness, prevent injury, and benefit your posture.  You get the idea.  If you have been procrastinating on taking care of you, now is the time to take action.  And if you need some healthy eating guidance or want to break out of your winter slump, I am here to help you get started.  Let's not put it off any longer!
